Based on the above background, THine developed the V-by-One HS. In other words, through the introduction of the equalizer function, it achieves higher data transmission quality and faster transmission speed than the previous LVDS technology (up to 3.75Gbps for a pair of lines). And because of the use of clock signal recovery technology, it solves the wiring time lag problem that has become increasingly obvious in the past under the LVDS scheme. In addition, the clock signal transmission wiring (fixed frequency transmission) that is essential in the LVDS standard is eliminated, thereby reducing EMI interference.
The higher transmission speed of V-by-One can bring about a series of benefits such as a reduction in wiring and connector usage, a reduction in overall cost, and space saving. For example, for a UD panel (3840*2160), at least 96 pairs of wiring are required to use the LVDS solution, while only 16 pairs of wiring are required to complete data transmission when using V-by-One HS. And because of the variable transmission speed, the original design using LVDS technology can seamlessly transition to V-by-One HS without major changes. In addition, Japan's THine has made technical specifications public, and V-by-One HS has become an open standard.
